Healarium, Inc., respects the privacy of personal information and understands the importance of keeping this information confidential and secure. This Notice describes how we protect the confidentiality of the personal information we receive – please read it carefully. Types of Personal Information We Collect
As a Personal Health Assistant software provider, we endeavor to collect the minimum necessary personal information needed to help you monitor and manage your health. This information includes Protected Health Information or health information that is protected by HIPAA, the United States’ federal privacy law (PHI).
How We Protect Personal Information
We treat all personal information and PHI securely and confidentially. We limit access to personal information and PHI to only those persons who need to know that information to provide support services to our customers or maintain and monitor our software platform. These persons are trained on the importance of safeguarding this information and must comply with our procedures and applicable laws. We meet strict physical, electronic and procedural security standards to protect personal information and PHI, and we maintain internal procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of that information.
When you enter sensitive information on your Personal Health Assistant, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the sensitive information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Our policies, procedures and systems are designed to comply with HIPAA and other, applicable privacy and security standards.
How to Update Your Personal Information
You can help Healarium, Inc., maintain the accuracy of your personal information by notifying us when you change your name, address, title, phone number, e-mail address or your content preferences. If at any time you wish to update your information or preferences, or you prefer to stop receiving communication from Healarium, Inc., feel free to contact us at any time.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose information only to healthcare providers, as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
Individual Rights to Access and Correct Personal Information
We cooperate with health care providers to ensure that authorized individuals have access to personal information as required by law. This may exclude information we collect in connection with, or in anticipation of, a lawsuit or legal claim. We will make this information available to the user upon written request and in accordance with agreements that we have with our health care provider customers. We have procedures in place to ensure the integrity of our information and for the timely correction of incorrect information.
Our Web Sites and mobile applications may contain links to other web sites and content maintained by third parties (the “Linked Sites”). Healarium Inc., provides access to the Linked Sites solely as a convenience, but the inclusion of Linked Sites does not imply endorsement by Healarium, Inc. Your access to the Linked Sites is at your own risk. When you access the Linked Sites, you leave the Healarium, Inc., website or mobile app and Healarium, Inc., policies no longer apply. Healarium, Inc., assumes no responsibility for the content or the privacy policies and practices of such web sites. Healarium Inc., encourages you to read the privacy statements of the Linked Sites; as their privacy practices may differ from ours.
Since we operate globally, it may be necessary to transfer personal information to other divisions of our company or to service providers of the company located in different countries. By using the application, either through the web or on a mobile device, you consent to the transfer of your personal information and PHI, even though the data protection and other laws of these countries may not be as comprehensive as those in your home country. In all cases, we will endeavor to ensure that a similar level of protection is given to your personal information.
Your personal information and PHI will only be stored as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
